Welcome to our team! :) I am Sara (She/Her). I am the Project Manager of STYL3D. We are all second/third-year students. I am pursuing a double minor in Communication Design & English as well as a concentration in Packaging. I will be overseeing everything and making sure everyone is on task and staying motivated. I'm also really happy to be working with such a lovely hard-working team. What excites me about 3D printing is its importance. It is vital for the audiences to understand the problem that fast fashion is creating. 3D printing and digital textile offer a more sustainable and accessible solution that the world desperately needs. We hope to achieve a small step to a better world!
Lyara Malvar
Team Leader of Social Media Team
Hi! I am Lyara (They/Them). I am pursuing a double minor in Music & Communication Design and a concentration in Digital Graphic Output. I will be working as the Social Media Team Leader. I coordinate the social media team with the creation of assets and posting schedules, as well as keep in touch with the project manager. What excites me about 3D and digital textile printing is that both are such exciting print methods that make clothing and fashion not only better for the environment but more interesting and diverse overall.

Hi! I am Yalin (She/Her), pursuing a concentration in Packaging. I will be working as the Content Creator By creating engaging content for our audience and what excites me about 3D and digital textile printing is the possibility of being able to print clothing at home in the future!

Sarah Roomi

Hi! I am Sarah (She/Her), pursuing a double minor in Communication Design & Professional Communication as well as a concentration in Packaging. I will be working as a Content Creator. My contribution to the team is to produce educational material and educate the audience on the current trends of 3D and digital printing through visuals and writing. Additionally, I will be responsible for the contribution of information to any media including writing blog posts for our STYL3D website. What excites me about 3D printing is its Speed, Flexibility, and Cost benefits. For small production runs, prototyping, small business, and educational use, 3D printing is vastly superior to other industrial methods.

Hi! I am Lucy (She/Her). I am pursuing a double minor in Marketing and Communication Design. I will be working as the Creative Content Associate. I am responsible for making sure our creative content is accessible and attractive to our audience! This applies to our marketing material, branding image, socials, and website! What excites me about 3D and digital textile printing is the potential it has to change the fashion industry. I would also love to 3D print some fun jewelry and sunglasses to go with my colourful clothing!

Hi! I am Maryam (She/Her), doing a double minor in French & Marketing also pursuing a concentration in Leadership. I will be working as the Director of Marketing. In the outreach capacity, I would find potential sponsors/interviewees for the webinar and connect with them on behalf of our team. From a marketing perspective, I would supervise posting schedules with a lens on the LinkedIn platform. What excites me about 3D and digital textile printing is the potential to create a sustainable fashion industry that contributes to an overall circular economy.

Hi! My name is Viraj (He/Him). I am leaning towards Packaging in regards to my concentration. I am the Blog Manager/Blog Writer for STYL3D. I manage the blog team and help with writing and editing blog posts, as well as designing our website. I believe the most interesting part of 3D and digital textile printing is its effect on the environment, and it’s potential in making the fashion/textile industry much more sustainable for the future.

Hi! I am Timothy (He/Him), pursuing a concentration in Publishing! My role on the team is as a Presenter/Speaker & Blog Writer. I will be creating content for our website through blog posts about our project topic; presenting our final webinar presentation alongside another speaker and what excites me about 3D and digital textile printing is that there are so many creative opportunities that 3D and digital textile printing can provide for a not only large corporation but small businesses and creators. Even alongside the environmental benefits, these new printing processes just allow one to create things beyond print and fashion. Thinking about all the potential is something to really look forward to!

The blog can help provide more background information that may not otherwise be presented during the webinar. I'm excited to explore more about 3D and digital textile printing, as well as share more about it with everyone. We're especially lucky to be able to take a front seat in seeing it develop as more and more strides are being made in the industry before our eyes. It's interesting to see how technology can bring about subtle positive change to the fashion industry that many love yet doesn’t necessarily pay attention to the negative impacts of.
